The purpose of this chapter is to guide you on dashboard management in the Data Analytics module.
The excess of information that is scattered in an organization represents a challenge in the definition of strategies for a company. With so much data available, questions arise about how to better analyze opportunities and risks for the business. Managing information is easier when the analysis of results is supported through data visualization tools: the dashboards.
The Data Analytics module supports business intelligence analysis, enabling better visualization and interpretation of data for you to make informed decisions about your business. This module allows you to view data through custom dashboards created through Dashboard Designer, the dashboard creation and editing program provided by Modulo. Through this program, data from one or more sources can be creatively organized on dashboards to suit the various needs of your organization.
In this chapter you will learn how to view dashboards, select the audience members and editors who can view them, select the theme of a dashboard, list and update data sources, and configure their public access so that the dashboards can be accessed through a URL. You will view information on how to import tables from Excel files for use as data sources. In addition, this chapter will guide you through creating SQL queries that can be used as data sources in dashboards.
