This section provides orientation on how to manage groupings and grouping types through the Knowledge module. Groupings are designed to gather controls that have purposes and objectives in common. This is useful to allow to analysts to check the implementation of controls related to the same subject during an analysis.
Groupings types, in turn, serve to classify groupings according to the type of content to be grouped. For example, the “Access Control” grouping is classified under the “Software, application, and information” grouping type. This classification makes it easier to locate the grouping when preparing a control for a knowledge base.
