Closing Events

This topic explains how to close events, available through the Workflow module. When all activities related to the event have been completed, the event can then be closed. All closed events can be reopened if necessary.

If you close a parent event, its child events will also be closed; however, they will only be closed if they are open and if you have permission to them. Therefore, cancelled child events will keep their status. Note that if you have permission to close a parent event but not to close all of the child events, the system will not close any of the events. However, if you select a number of events to be closed and only have permission to close some of them, the system will only close those to which you have permission.

For events to treat vulnerabilities detected by Qualys, an integration task is available which will allow these events to be automatically updated or closed depending on the status of a corresponding ticket in Qualys. For details, see Chapter 17: Administration -> Integrations -> Integration Tasks -> Creating a Task to Synchronize with Qualys Remediation.

Keep in mind that if a treatment event is closed, the risk or non-compliance that was considered "Being Treated" in the corresponding project will become "Treated".
