Impact on Relationships between Mapped Controls and Requirements

Unlike the other cases, mappings between controls and requirements are not lost if a new version of a knowledge base or an authoritative document is published. Let’s say there is a knowledge base version 1.0 whose controls are mapped to requirements from an authoritative document version 1.0. If version 2.0 of this knowledge base is published, the mappings for controls from version 1.0 will recreated for version 2.0.

When creating a copy of a knowledge base, the mappings will be lost unless the option to copy them is selected (see figure below).
