The executable file used to install modSIC is Modulo.Collect.Service.msi. The digital certificate created in the above topic must be provided during the installation.
Listed below are the steps necessary to install modSIC (collector service):
1. Double-click the Modulo.Collect.Service.msi file.
2. A welcome screen from the installation wizard will appear. Click Next.
3. The terms of license for the service will be displayed. Mark the I accept the terms in the License Agreement checkbox and click Next.
4. In the following window, the modSIC components that will be installed will appear. Click Next.
5. In the Certificate File Path field, select the digital certificate created in the previous topic named modSIC.cer.
6. Leave the Certificate Password field blank. In the Address field, enter the FQDN or IP address of the server. In the Port field, specify the port that modSIC should use (the value should be between 1024 and 65535). Click Next.
7. The following window shows that the installer is ready to begin installation of modSIC. Click Install.
8. When finished, a window showing modSIC connection information and the credentials will be displayed. Click Finish.
