Generic surveys are used to generate interviews for projects in the Organization module. This type of interview is used to collect information and automatically update the properties and attributes of assets and business components according to the responses provided by interviewees.
Once generic surveys have been prepared, a project can be created in the Organization module, where you can select the survey that will be used to help update the properties and attributes of assets or business components. The person responsible for each of these objects will be assigned as interviewee.
Once interviews are sent and finalized by interviewees, the properties and attributes of the associated assets or business components are automatically updated. These automatic actions are possible through the creation of rules for processing the answers provided to each question. These rules define which property or attribute should be updated and which answer(s) should be used to update them and how.
Rules can also be created to control which questions will be visible to interviewees depending on answers provided to previous questions. This prevents interviewees from being obliged to answer questions which may not make sense to answer depending on answers to other questions. Comments and attachments can also be required depending on the answers provided to other questions by creating rules for this purpose, as long as fields for comments and attachments were enabled for the questions.
